The Almetyevsk City Court has sentenced Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky (listed as an extremist and terrorist in Russia) to 12 years in prison in absentia for stealing 10 billion rubles ($134 mln) worth of Russian oil, the Interior Ministry said. "The trial took place in absentia, as the defendants are located outside the Russian Federation. [Igor] Kolomoisky, [Alexander] Yaroslavsky, [Gennady] Bogolyubov and [Pavel] Ovcharenko were found guilty and sentenced to 12 years in prison. The verdict has not entered into legal force," it said in a statement. The Interior Ministry added that the Almetyevsk City Court of Tatarstan has issued a guilty verdict in absentia against the four Ukrainians who are on the interstate wanted list charged under Part 1 of Article 210 and Part 4 of Article 160 of Russia’s Criminal Code. "According to the investigation, the attackers, being outside the Russian Federation, created a criminal community in 2006 and 2007. Through an intermediary company, they organized the supply of 858,600 tons of oil worth over 10 billion rubles owned by a Russian company to the territory of Ukraine, which was subsequently stolen."
