Around 2am, a vehicle travelling from Georgiou Griva Digeni Avenue towards Larnakos Avenue in Aglantzia struck and dragged a personal mobility device that the 16-year-old was riding ahead of it, under circumstances still under investigation. The teenager was seriously injured in the collision and taken to Nicosia General Hospital, where he underwent surgery and remains in critical condition. Police found the vehicle involved shortly afterwards at a different location from the collision scene. A 27-year-old, who according to information gathered so far is alleged to have been driving the vehicle, was arrested for a flagrant offence after a final alcohol test returned a positive result of 73%, against the legal limit of 22µg% set by law. Nicosia Traffic Police continue their investigation.
