**Temperatures Set to Reach 38°C Inland This Saturday**
Cyprus is bracing for a significant rise in temperatures this Saturday, with inland areas expected to reach highs of around 38°C. The forecast indicates a warm day across the island, with coastal regions experiencing milder conditions.
According to the Cyprus Mail, the temperature along the west and southwest coasts will be around 29°C, while other coastal areas will see temperatures of approximately 32°C. In the mountainous regions, temperatures are predicted to reach a cooler 28°C.
The day will begin with low cloud and occasional mist, which is expected to lift by the morning, paving the way for mostly clear skies. However, as the day progresses, some cloud cover will develop in the mountains, with a chance of isolated rain later in the day.
Winds will start off weak, registering at 3 Beaufort, but are anticipated to strengthen in the southwest coast area, reaching moderate to strong levels of 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea conditions will generally be calm, but may turn slightly rough in the afternoon, particularly in the southwest.
As night falls, the weather will remain predominantly clear, although low cloud will gradually increase. There is a possibility of sparse fog or mist forming in certain areas during the early hours, especially in the eastern and inland regions. Overnight temperatures are expected to drop to around 22°C inland, 23°C along the coast, and about 19°C in the mountains.
Looking ahead to Sunday, the weather is expected to remain mainly clear across most areas of the island, with some cloud developing throughout the day. In the afternoon, the cloud cover in the mountains may lead to isolated rain showers.
Monday's forecast suggests continued clear weather, although there may be periods of increased cloudiness. By Tuesday, temperatures are expected to rise gradually, maintaining the trend of warm weather.
Residents and visitors in Cyprus are advised to stay hydrated and take precautions against the heat, particularly in inland areas where temperatures will be at their highest.
