Music A serenade under the stars in Kato Amiantos Singer Vakia Stavrou presents Serenade Under the Stars at the Forest Theatre in Kato Amiantos as part of the 2026 Music Festival. Accompanied by pianist Manolis Neophytou, Stavrou will perform songs from Cyprus, Greece, France, Argentina, England and elsewhere. The concert begins at 8pm. Cypriot music and dance in Nikokleia Michalis and Petros Kouloumis present an evening devoted to Cypriot musical tradition at the Church of Agios Dimitrios in Nikokleia at 8.30pm. The performance features Michalis Kouloumis on violin, Petros Kouloumis on vocals and lute, and Eleni Koki on santouri. They will be joined by the Dionysos Cultural and Dance Group and the Ieroi Kipoi Cultural Group, accompanying the music with traditional Cypriot dances. The event is being held as part of the Deputy Ministry of Culture’s 2026 Cultural Decentralisation Programme. Aliki Vougiouklaki remembered in Polystypos A musical production titled 30 Years Without Aliki will be staged at the Polystypos Cultural Centre at 8pm. Marking 30 years since Aliki Vougiouklaki’s death on 23 July 1996, the production traces the Greek actress’s life and career through songs associated with her films and theatre appearances. Further performances are scheduled for the central square in Pano Platres at 7.30pm on Wednesday, 2 September, and the old primary school in Nikitari at 8pm on Sunday, 13 September. Admission is free. Moonlit concert beside the sea in Protaras Demetris Mesimeris and Frederiki Tombazou will perform There Are Some Moonlit Nights at the events square between Fig Tree Bay and Vrysi beaches at 8pm. The programme moves from traditional music to contemporary songs presented in modern arrangements. The performers will be accompanied by the Orfeas Music Ensemble of the Panikos Hadjihambis Foundation, with arrangements and musical direction by Admitos Pitsillides. The concert is organised by Paralimni-Deryneia Municipality in cooperation with Nicosia Municipality. Admission is free.
