In the early hours of Friday, a lightning strike linked to the thunderstorms resulted in a fire at a restaurant near Lara beach in the Paphos area. The fire broke out around 2 AM and caused significant damage to the establishment. Fire services responded promptly, bringing the situation under control by 5 AM, preventing further damage or injury.
As the day progresses, improvements in weather conditions are expected, with a noticeable reduction in storm activity anticipated later in the afternoon.
