"This letter serves as a notice for all communications to be preserved between FIFA personnel and individuals affiliated with the Trump administration or its inaugural committee - including disappearing messages exchanged on ephemeral communication platforms, such as Signal, Telegram, WhatsApp (a social media site banned in Russia since it is owned by Meta corporation classified as extremist by the Russian authorities), X, and Truth Social," Raskin’s letter said. The congressman asked Infantino to testify in person to assist with the investigation and also demanded documents regarding any gifts, payments, or benefits provided to Trump or individuals associated with him, records on ticket sales for FIFA events, information on contacts with US officials, and a visitor log for the federation’s offices in Trump Tower.
