The warning issued by the Department of Meteorology will remain in effect from 11 am until 5 pm. Weather forecast in detail Seasonal low pressure is affecting the region. The weather today will be mostly clear, although locally increased cloud cover is expected from midday onwards, mainly over the mountains. Winds will blow mainly from the south-west to north-west, light to moderate at force 3 to 4, gradually becoming moderate to strong at force 4 to 5 along the coast. The sea will initially be generally calm to slight, gradually becoming slight off the south-western, western and northern coasts by the afternoon. Temperatures will rise to around 40 C inland, 32 C on the south-western and western coasts, 35 C along the remaining coastal areas and 29 C in the higher mountains. Tonight will be mostly clear, although low cloud will gradually increase, mainly in coastal areas. Patchy mist or fog may form later and during the early morning hours, mainly in eastern areas. Winds will gradually become downslope and light at force 3. The sea will remain generally calm to slight, although it will stay slight locally off the western and northern coasts. Temperatures will fall to around 23 C inland and along the coast, and 19 C in the higher mountains. The weather will remain mostly clear on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, although locally increased cloud cover is expected at times. Temperatures are not expected to change significantly through Wednesday and will remain above the seasonal average.
