**29-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies in Larnaca Collision**
A tragic traffic accident on the Kelia Troulloi Road in Larnaca has resulted in the death of a 29-year-old motorcyclist, identified as Georgios Georgiou. The incident occurred around 7:25 PM on Monday, according to police reports.
Georgiou, a father of two young children and an employee at the Larnaca district local government organization (EOA), was riding his motorcycle when the collision took place. He reportedly collided with a car driven by a 28-year-old woman, who had a 32-year-old man as a passenger and two young children, aged four and two, in the back seats.
Emergency services were quick to respond, transporting both Georgiou and the occupants of the car to Larnaca General Hospital. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, Georgiou was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The four individuals in the car received first aid treatment and were later discharged from the hospital.
Preliminary investigations by the police indicate that Georgiou was not wearing a protective helmet at the time of the crash. Additionally, the driver of the car underwent both a breathalyser and drug test, which returned negative results. Early findings suggest that Georgiou's motorcycle may have entered the oncoming lane while navigating a bend, leading to the head-on collision with the car.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are still under investigation as authorities work to gather more information about the events leading up to the crash.
