World-renowned violinist Yury Revich will perform alongside an Austrian chamber orchestra in one of the most breathtaking concert venues in the Mediterranean. The programme features Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons and other masterpieces of classical music. ABOUT THE ARTIST Yury Revich is one of the most compelling violinists of his generation, and the recipient of two of the most prestigious awards in classical music: the ECHO Klassik and the International Classical Music Award (ICMA). He has performed on the world’s greatest stages — Carnegie Hall, the Vienna Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic — and records exclusively for Sony Classical. A defining hallmark of the artist is his performance on an extraordinarily rare historical violin crafted by master Balestieri in 1783. With its singular sound and a history spanning more than two centuries, the instrument lends every performance a unique depth and an atmosphere unlike any other. ABOUT THE CONCERT The concert will take place in the Celebrity Gala format — an evening of classical music under the open sky that has become an annual tradition in Cyprus. The centrepiece of the programme will be Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, one of the most celebrated masterworks of the Baroque era. Joined by the Austrian chamber orchestra, Yury Revich will also perform other treasures of the classical repertoire. VENUE The ancient Kourion Amphitheatre is one of Cyprus’s most outstanding historical and cultural landmarks, set on a rocky promontory overlooking the Mediterranean Sea near Limassol. Built during the Hellenistic period and restored in Roman times, it continues to welcome thousands of audience members under the open sky. The combination of ancient architecture, the sea on the horizon, and live music creates an atmosphere unmatched by any concert hall in the world.
