**CSE Extends Share Suspension for Two Cypriot Firms**
The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) has announced the continuation of the suspension of trading for shares in two companies listed on its Emerging Companies Market (ECM): Rianeson Investments Plc and G.A.P. Vassilopoulos Public Ltd. This decision was made public on Friday and is in accordance with Article 183 of the Cyprus Securities and Stock Exchange Law.
The suspension for Rianeson Investments Plc has been attributed to the company's failure to submit and publish its annual financial report for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024. Additionally, the firm has not provided its half-yearly financial report for the period ending June 30, 2025, nor its annual financial report for the year ending December 31, 2025. These omissions have raised concerns regarding the company's compliance with regulatory requirements, prompting the CSE to extend the trading suspension.
Similarly, G.A.P. Vassilopoulos Public Ltd is facing a trading suspension due to its own non-compliance. The company has not submitted or published its half-yearly financial report for the period ending June 30, 2025, nor its annual financial report for the year ending December 31, 2025. The lack of these financial documents is a key factor in the CSE's decision to maintain the suspension of trading for this firm as well.
The trading suspension for both companies is set to take effect from August 25, 2026, and will remain in place for a maximum duration of two months, lasting until October 26, 2026. However, the CSE has indicated that the suspension could be lifted earlier if either company fulfills its outstanding reporting obligations.
This situation highlights the importance of transparency and timely financial reporting in maintaining investor confidence and compliance with stock exchange regulations. The CSE's actions reflect its commitment to uphold these standards within the market.
As the situation develops, stakeholders and investors will be closely monitoring the compliance efforts of Rianeson Investments Plc and G.A.P. Vassilopoulos Public Ltd to determine when trading may resume.
