**Frou Frou Profits Jump 28.5% in First Half of 2026**
Alkis H. Hadjikyriacos (Frou Frou Biscuits) Public Ltd has reported a significant increase in net profit for the first half of 2026, with earnings rising by 28.5% to €2.57 million. This marks a notable improvement from the €2 million net profit recorded during the same period in 2025. The company attributes this rise in profits to a combination of higher sales, increased dividend income, and reduced financing costs.
In terms of turnover, Frou Frou experienced a 3.8% increase, reaching €12.56 million. The company indicated that this growth was primarily driven by selective price increases and the introduction of new products into the market. The rise in profits outpaced the increase in sales, highlighting a strong operational performance.
Profit before tax saw a substantial increase of 33.2%, climbing to €2.95 million. Additionally, operating profit rose to €2.97 million, up from €2.64 million in the first half of 2025. This growth in profitability was further supported by a boost in other income, which increased by €357,800 to €1.2 million, largely due to higher dividend income.
Another contributing factor to the improved financial performance was a significant reduction in net finance costs. This decrease was aided by a foreign-exchange gain of €98,000 on investments in US bonds, which positively impacted the company's financial standing.
On September 17, the company’s board convened to review and approve the group’s condensed, unaudited consolidated financial statements for the six months ending June 30, alongside its interim management report. In their assessment, the board expressed confidence in the company’s stability, stating that they do not anticipate any significant changes to the group’s activities in the near future. They emphasized that the ongoing development of new products will continue to be a key component of the group’s organic growth strategy.
As Frou Frou Biscuits moves forward, the company appears well-positioned to capitalize on its recent successes and maintain its momentum in the competitive food industry. The focus on innovation and strategic pricing may serve as critical factors in sustaining growth and profitability in the coming months.
