**Kesidis Wins Gold for Cyprus, Table Tennis Team Secures Bronze at Mediterranean Games**
Iosif Kesidis has made headlines for Cyprus by clinching a gold medal in the hammer throw at the Mediterranean Games held in Taranto on Sunday. This achievement marks a significant milestone in what has been an impressive year for the Cypriot athlete.
Kesidis delivered his winning throw of 77.99 meters on his third attempt, outpacing his competitors. Greece's Frantzeskakis secured the silver medal with a throw of 77.59 meters, while Croatia's Matija Gregoric took home the bronze. Throughout the competition, Kesidis demonstrated consistency, recording additional throws of 75.93m, 74.88m, 75.47m, and 75.28m, although his opening attempt was a foul.
