More than half of all Poles arriving in Cyprus are estimated to be staying in the city, continuing a trend that has held since 2024 and 2025. Strong air links driving growth Paphos’s air connectivity with Poland is the best it has been in three years, according to relevant sources. This summer season, 20 flights a week are operating from six major Polish airports. A stable, priority market Paphos tourism bodies are already using this data as a basis for further developing tourism cooperation between the two countries. Beyond the rise in visitor numbers from the central European country, they see Poland as a market that stays steady regardless of outside events. They contrast this with Israel, where periods of conflict have disrupted travel, and with Britain, where the same stakeholders consider the authorities to act hastily on travel advisories affecting the island. Ryanair driving arrivals The Polish market has now become a first-priority market, and in recent years arrivals have increased significantly, driven mainly by Ryanair flights to Paphos.
