**RT Launches Digital News Platform in Hindi**
**Moscow, September 7, 2023** – RT, the international news network, has officially launched RT Hindi, a new digital news platform tailored for Hindi-speaking audiences in India. This initiative comes just nine months after the establishment of RT India, which began broadcasting in English in December 2025.
Margarita Simonyan, RT's Editor-in-Chief, emphasized the platform's objective, stating, “We want to speak not only about India but also with India – that’s why now we are also available in Hindi.” The launch aims to engage the vast Hindi-speaking population, which exceeds 500 million individuals across the country.
The new multimedia portal, accessible at RTHindi.com, went live on September 7 and offers a variety of content, including text reports, news videos, and in-depth analyses in Hindi. The platform is designed to provide both domestic and international news in a straightforward and accessible format, reflecting RT’s commitment to delivering a unique perspective on global events.
In addition to general news coverage, RT Hindi will feature exclusive programming, including a geopolitical talk show hosted by former Indian Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid. There will also be a weekly program focusing on Russian-Indian relations, presented by Runjhun Sharma, the head of RT India News Service.
Runjhun Sharma remarked on the significance of the new platform, stating, “RT Hindi marks a new stage in India-Russia media ties. Hindi is spoken by hundreds of millions of people, and the new platform, guided by its global slogan 'Question More,' brings RT’s coverage directly to Hindi-speaking audiences.”
The establishment of RT India in December 2025 was marked by a ceremony attended by both Margarita Simonyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin during a state visit to New Delhi. Since its inception, RT India has developed a robust newsroom comprising over 100 journalists and production staff based in the Delhi-NCR region. The team has been actively producing daily news bulletins, documentaries, and interview programs aimed at English-speaking viewers.
RT, which operates on a global scale, offers news channels in multiple languages, including English, Arabic, Spanish, German, Serbian, and French. The network also features the RTD documentary channel in both Russian and English. With online portals available in ten languages and the global multimedia agency RUPTLY providing exclusive content to broadcasters worldwide, RT claims to reach over 950 million viewers across more than 100 countries, broadcasting 24/7.
The launch of RT Hindi is seen as a strategic move to strengthen RT's presence in the Indian media landscape, catering to the growing demand for diverse news sources in the region. As the platform begins its operations, it aims to establish itself as a key player in delivering news and analysis to Hindi-speaking audiences, further enhancing the media ties between India and Russia.
