The music ensemble “Myrothkies tou Giasemiou” (“Scents of Jasmine”) presents a programme in which traditional music meets contemporary composition, exploring the enduring beauty of simplicity, collective memory and cultural identity, as part of the Cultural Decentralisation Programme. Kalopanagiotis, Monastery of Agios Ioannis Lampadistis, 5/9, 8pm. “Adousa Eikon” (“The Singing Icon”), a musical journey through Byzantine music where the art of chant meets Cyprus’s UNESCO cultural heritage, is presented at churches and UNESCO monuments. L’elisir d’amore (The Elixir of Love) by Gaetano Donizetti, one of the most popular operas in the world repertoire, is presented in Paphos in a new production promising to combine classic lyric theatre with a contemporary staging approach. It is a major international co-production bringing together Armenia’s Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, and distinguished lyric artists from Armenia and other countries. The experiential workshop “Nature, Sun and Cyanotype in the Village” offers a creative journey through the Cypriot countryside via the art of cyanotype, part of the 2026 Cultural Decentralisation Programme. Led by artist Eleni Filippou (The.Curious.Curly), participants will learn cyanotype, one of the oldest camera-less photographic techniques, developed in 1842, which uses sunlight to create characteristic blue photograms.
