**Today’s Weather: Sunny with Temperatures Reaching Up to 39 Degrees Celsius**
Cyprus is set to experience a predominantly sunny Saturday, with temperatures soaring to a high of 39 degrees Celsius inland. The weather forecast indicates that while the day will be mostly clear, there will be some temporary cloud cover in the higher mountain regions during the afternoon.
According to the latest meteorological data, temperatures will vary across different regions of the island. The southeast and east coast will see temperatures around 31 degrees Celsius, while the north coast will experience slightly warmer conditions at 35 degrees. Coastal areas elsewhere are expected to remain around 30 degrees, and temperatures in the higher mountains will also hover around this mark.
Winds are forecasted to blow from the south to the northwest, starting off as locally variable and weak to moderate, reaching up to 4 Beaufort. However, as the day progresses, these winds are expected to strengthen in the southern regions, potentially reaching up to 5 Beaufort. Consequently, sea conditions will be a little rough, particularly along the southern coast.
As night falls, the weather will remain mainly clear, although there may be an increase in low clouds along the west coast. During the early hours of the morning, particularly on the eastern half of the island, there is a possibility of sparse fog or mist forming due to locally increased low cloudiness. Winds will continue from the south to the northwest, remaining variable and ranging from 3 to 4 Beaufort. Overnight temperatures are expected to drop to around 21 degrees Celsius inland, approximately 23 degrees along the coast, and about 19 degrees in the mountainous areas.
Looking ahead to the coming days, the weather pattern is expected to shift slightly. Isolated rain or storms are anticipated in the mountains and inland during the afternoons and evenings on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, as cloud cover develops. Temperatures are projected to gradually decrease, particularly in the mountains and inland areas, while remaining relatively stable on Tuesday.
Residents and visitors are advised to stay hydrated and take precautions against the heat, especially during the peak afternoon hours when temperatures are at their highest. As always, those engaging in outdoor activities should be mindful of the changing weather conditions and plan accordingly.
