**Transport Minister Briefed on Eurogate’s Limassol Port Operations**
On Friday, Transport Minister Evanthia Tsolaki visited the Eurogate Container Terminal Limassol (Eurogate CTL) at Limassol port, marking an important step in her new role overseeing the Transport, Communications, and Works portfolio. This visit served as an introductory meeting with the executives of Eurogate CTL, following Tsolaki's appointment in August.
Accompanying Tsolaki were key officials from her ministry, including Elena Theodoulou, her office director; Chrysalla Solomou, the ministry representative on the ports concession agreement; and Stelios Zervos, the acting director of the Public Works Department. The presence of these officials underscored the importance of the meeting, which aimed to address various issues impacting Cyprus' maritime trade sector.
During the visit, Tsolaki met with Alexandros Demetriades, the chief operating officer of Eurogate CTL, who provided a comprehensive briefing on the current challenges faced by the company and the operational status of the container terminal. Following the meeting, Tsolaki toured the Eurogate facilities, where she was informed about recent investments aimed at upgrading the terminal's infrastructure.
