According to police, the robbery took place at around 2:30 am on Tuesday, when the delivery driver was attacked by two people while dropping off an order in the Erimi area. The attackers stole his bag and his motorcycle before riding off on it. Officers later found the motorcycle abandoned in the same area. Investigators said evidence pointed to the 21-year-old and the 19-year-old. Police found the keys to the driver’s motorcycle in the 21-year-old’s possession, while a waist bag recovered from the yard of the pair’s home was identified as the one stolen from the driver. The two men are also under investigation for possession of drugs with intent to supply, after officers found cannabis at two separate locations on Tuesday. Police who went to the suspects’ house to arrest them saw the 19-year-old throw an object into the yard, which turned out to be eight packages of cannabis with a gross weight of 308 grams, along with a set of precision scales. During further searches led by YKAN, the 21-year-old directed officers to an open area in Erimi, where four more packages of cannabis, with a gross weight of 464 grams, were found buried. Both men were arrested under court warrants and remanded in custody. The investigation is continuing under Episkopi police station and YKAN’s Limassol district office.
