The new event is the Zamna Festival, an international electronic music brand that began in Tulum, Mexico. Zamna has announced an event for October 10, 2026, promoting it on its official website as taking place in “North Cyprus,” with occupied Kyrenia listed as the location. Ticket pre-sales have already begun on the same website, with prices starting from 1,650 Turkish lira, though the full programme and artist line-up have not yet been announced. Organisers have also produced a promotional video showcasing the Republic’s occupied territories to advertise the festival. According to information reviewed by philenews, the Foreign Ministry has also been informed of the new event, with a request that appropriate action be taken. Zamna’s second event in the occupied areas This is not the first time Zamna has organised a festival in the occupied areas. In May 2025, it held its first event in the Palm Beach area of occupied Famagusta, featuring international electronic music artists. This year’s announcement itself describes the new event as a return following last year’s debut. Zamna has a significant international footprint. The festival began in Tulum in 2017 and had expanded to about 20 countries by 2024, drawing roughly 850,000 visitors that year from 135 nationalities. This past May, Zamna also held a two-day event in Limassol.
